With schools on holiday for Easter it was time for another fun packed event for the New Neighbours Together families – chocolate galore, crafting and planting.

Valentine’s day was the perfect excuse to show our clients and volunteers a bit of love at an extra special drop-in session for all the family.

After a short break for Christmas, and a period of restricted services due to Covid, we are back up and running with a bang. We are delighted to welcome our families and volunteers back to our weekly drop-in sessions.

We might not have been able to hold our Christmas party, but it was a delight to see so many smiling faces as we handed out presents donated by Blacko Primary School this weekend.

A massive thank you to Blacko Primary School for supporting our gift appeal and helping us to ensure no local child wakes up on Christmas morning this year without a present.

On Tuesday 23 November we reopened our drop-in session doors. After over 18 months of reduced services it was fantastic to welcome over 60 people, old and new, back to St John’s church hall.

At New Neighbours Together we support asylum seeker and refugees in Burnley and it’s always exciting when the families we support welcome new babies.

After over 18 months of not being able to meet up in person, our lovely team got together on 19 October for a volunteer meeting.
