With schools on holiday for Easter, it was time for another fun packed event for the New Neighbours Together families on Tuesday 12 April.
A huge thank you to Su Ryan, children’s lead, supported by many of our wonderful volunteers for organising a great afternoon:
- There was chocolate galore with children making cornflake nests and decorating Easter cookies – Su, Shirin, Ruth and Kristen were on hand to help our budding bakers.
- Lynn was then in charge of showing the children how to make Easter baskets to take home their sweet treats.
- Thanks to Ruth Calder, Pennine Community Farm, and trustee Richard Priestly for helping the children plant colourful pots of summer bulbs.
- Leila’s artistic skills were once again in high demand to paint faces and Marion supervised the ever popular toddlers’ corner, with colouring and sticking at the craft table and role play in the kitchen café.
- Parisa and family did a great job of keeping track of scores in the Easter egg target game – the competition was tough!
With the next school holidays coming up at the end of May we’ve got big plans ahead. Keep posted for the return of the NNT trip to the coast – details coming soon on our What’s on page.
