We are delighted to announce that New Neighbours Together won the award for ‘Medium to Large Community Group’ at Burnley’s recent Above and Beyond Awards.

Our Charity, our  CEO, Ruth Haygarth, and Drop-in Lead practitioner, Ansa Taslim, also received nominations for ‘Community Cohesion Champion’. 

These awards recognise outstanding contributions to the whole community of Burnley and  celebrate the hard work and dedication of individuals and groups within Burnley’s voluntary, community and faith sectors.

Held at UCLAN’s Victoria Mill in Burnley, the awards were attended by our CEO, Ruth Haygarth, Chair of Trustees, Julie Sidhu, Drop-in Lead practitioner, Ansa Taslim, and NNT volunteer, Edela Gebremariam.

We were humbled and delighted to win this award which we would like to dedicate to all our many wonderful volunteers past and present and to our partners in Burnley – we are truly stronger together.

The awards were organised and supported by Burnley Council, the Burnley Express, and Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale Council for Voluntary Service.
